Budgeting Time

When I think of budgeting the first thing that comes to mind is money. But what about time? In my profession time is money. So budgeting time is just as important.

I have had a really hard time for the past couple of weeks. I know a lot of you know that we have a computer business here in Middle TN. I, also, am in the process of designing a couple of websites. I have dead lines and such and just have not budgeted my time well enough to be able to blog as much as I want.

Every other week, my kids go to their Dad's during summer break. I know that sounds like I should have more time while they are gone, right? Wrong! When they are home, I spend as much time as I can with them ie going to the lake or just down to the creek. So I end up putting off or scheduling things for the opposite week. What happens? I end up overloaded!

So to remedy this problem of procrastination I have, I am devoting at least an hour a day to my blog. Does this mean I will be neglecting my kids or my job? No. I am just going to use my time more wisely. My kids know I have a job to do. So a couple of hours a day while they are here won't hurt.

I am a list maker at heart! I haven't made a list since summer began! I am going old school and getting a notepad. If I have a clear goal for those hours, I won't spend as much time on frivolous issues that don't really DESERVE my time.
